Fauntlee hills

A new master suite was added atop this midcentury house as part of an extensive remodel. Set in an established neighborhood of ramblers, the addition is modest, in scale with the other houses on the block. Detailing is crisp and clearly 21st century. By reworking the entry and removing first floor walls, the originally cloistered plan has become a modern open plan with spectacular views over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Open-floor design holds the living spaces together, contemporary fireplace and midcentury furnitures keep the space light and generous.
The most iconic midcentury furnitures sit on a large red rug which bring life and brightness to the space.
